Genealogies from the Book of Genesis
Author: Abraham ParkCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsToo often, genealogies are dismissed as uninteresting or, worse, boring. However, Reverend Abraham Park’s book demonstrates the great value, even the fascination, of an in-depth study of biblical genealogies. A solid foundation is essential to any solid structure. This is also true of Genesis, which is the solid foundation of our biblical faith. Genesis not only provides a basis for understanding our origins, it is also a basis for understanding ourselves and our relationships with God and with one another. The importance of Genesis as a fundamental paradigm for all Christian thought cannot be overstated.

The Discipline of Grace
Author: Jerry BridgesCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsGrace is just as important to being a Christian as it is to becoming one. Striving for holiness is not an easy task, and in it we often replace grace with discipline, thus making a big mistake.
The author shows how the very grace that brought us to Christ also disciplines us in Him, and how in it we learn to discipline ourselves in matters of dedication, conviction, choice, vigilance, and suffering.
If you have ever been troubled by the question of what is your part, and what part does God take upon himself in the process of your spiritual growth as a Christian, this book is for you. It will bring comfort and sobriety at the same time as you learn peace in Christ while resolutely striving for a life of holiness.

Blessings of humility
Author: Jerry BridgesCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsHumility is a virtue that we admire so much in others and which (if we are honest) is so lacking in ourselves. The Bible clearly defines that it - along with love - is the cornerstone of the Christian's character, on which everything else is built, and the distinguishing mark of a life of faith. So how to make humility our daily practice and learn to grow in it?
The author believes that in the Beatitudes, Jesus gave us comprehensive instructions on what humility looks like in action. Starting with the recognition of the poverty of the spirit - our absolute inability to please God by our own efforts - through the deepest sorrow for our sins, the thirst for righteousness and purity of heart, as well as the experience of being persecuted for the truth, we discover for ourselves that humility in itself is a great blessing.

Tolerable sins
Author: Jerry BridgesCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsMore and more people who call themselves Christians are so focused on the blatant sins of the world around them that they completely lose sight of the need to wage a decisive battle against their own, more “subtle” and invisible sins.
The book examines more than a dozen such sins. Among them are envy, anger, pride, ingratitude, lust, condemnation, etc.: today they have become "acceptable" in churches and therefore common in the lives of believers.
At the same time, the author weaves a message of hope into his revelations and warnings, pointing to the boundless mercy of the Gospel and God's transforming grace as the means of achieving victory over our "tolerable" sins.Read morePreface

When people are big and God is small
Author: Edward T. WelchCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsIn the modern world, rather strict standards are promoted of what a person should be like inside and out, how he should behave, how to speak, what to do, what to believe in. These requirements are not openly proclaimed, but they are the background of the life of a modern person. We feel how they influence us, guide our decisions and behavior, weigh on us, holding us captive to human thought and depriving us of the freedom in which God has dedicated us to live.
The book "When Men Are Big and God Is Small" examines one of the most pressing and eternal issues - the fear of people. Edward Welch seeks to show that behind the question "What will people think of me?" - there are deeper feelings. The author opens the curtain before us and shows how, in the course of history, society has changed its reference point from God to itself.
Reading this book will help us see how God views man and how we should view people, and will inspire us to take practical steps on the path to God's victory.

The essence of modern theology
Author: Edward FisherCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe book "The Essence of Modern Theology" was written in the 1600s by an author about whom we know almost nothing. However, it turned out to be a critically important, albeit controversial, theological work. This book is written in the form of a dialogue between a priest (Evangelist), a young Christian (Neophyte), a lawyer (Nomist), who believes that Christianity is a set of rules that must be followed, and an Antinomist who believes that it is possible to sin because God will still forgive him. The book turned out to be surprisingly insightful and remains extremely relevant today. This edition includes explanatory notes by the famous Puritan Thomas Boston, an introduction by Philip Raiken, and a historical introduction by William Vandodewaard.

APPENDIX. The reason for the dispute about "Essence"
Questions agreed by the commission of the General Assembly
Question 1. Are there any commandments in the Gospel that were not actually given before the Gospel was revealed?
Question 2. Isn't the believer now obliged by the authority of the Creator to show personal obedience to the moral law, although not for justification?
Question 3. Is the commandment, in which we find the promise of life and the threat of death, a covenant of deeds?
Question 4. Was the threat of hell added to the moral law before it took the form of the covenant of deeds?
Question 5. Only believers are free from the commanding power of the law as a covenant?
Question 6. Does the sinner receive all that is necessary for salvation at once upon justification?
Question 7. Does preaching about the need for a holy life to find eternal happiness threaten dangerous consequences for the doctrine of the gift of grace?
Question 8. Is the knowledge, faith, and conviction that Christ died for me, that He is my Savior, and that all His deeds and sufferings were done for me, a direct act of faith?
Question 9. What is the act of faith by means of which the sinner accepts Christ and His saving benefits?
Question 10. Is it possible to say that the revelation of God's will in the Word, which gives the basis for offering Christ to everyone and commands everyone to accept Him, is the gift of Christ offered by the Father to all mankind? Is this gift to all mankind realized through sovereign grace, and what is it - absolute or conditional?
Question 11. Is a similar division of the law, which is explained and applied in the "Essences" and which cannot be rejected without burying several evangelical truths, justified?
Question 12. Should hope for heaven and fear of hell be excluded from the motives of a believer's obedience? If not, how can the "Essence" be defended, which clearly excludes them, but allows for other motives?

Christ under investigation
Author: Lee StrobelCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsIS THERE CREDIBLE EVIDENCE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS REALLY GOD?
In his quest to answer life's most important question, investigative journalist Lee Strobel examines archaeological, medical, and historical evidence and analyzes philosophical arguments to uncover the truth about the person of Jesus Christ. In this investigation, the author asks tough questions of leading experts, researchers, and scholars from around the world to uncover the truth about Christianity, the Bible, and Jesus Christ.
Strobel raises the following questions:
How reliable is the New Testament?
Is there evidence of the existence of Jesus Christ outside the Bible?
Is Jesus really who He said He was?
Is there any reason to believe that Jesus' resurrection was a real event? This book is a remarkable investigation that will force skeptics to rethink their own views of Jesus Christ, presenting comprehensive and convincing historical, philosophical, archaeological, medical, and psychological expert testimony about His life, teachings, death, and resurrection. Both skeptics of Christianity and believers will discover much new and valuable in this book. It consists of 44 lessons (one for each chapter from the children's book of the same name). The lessons are divided into two parts: the Old and New Testaments.
The Apostle Paul reminds Timothy that he had the privilege of knowing the Scriptures “from infancy” (2 Timothy 3:14-15). The curriculum – “Jesus in the Pages of the Bible” is a good tool for adults to introduce children to the Scriptures and have the same privilege that Paul had.

Chosen by God
Author: Robert Charles SproulCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsHave you ever heard the word "predestination"?...
Why did you come to Christ? Why are there people who hear the same word of God but react completely differently? Is it because of something special about us?
The author of the book, R. C. Sproul, reflects on the fact that God chose His people before the foundation of the world, as, among other things, the apostle Paul says in the Epistle to the Ephesians (1:4). Is this unfair? Is it really so? And what about our will and freedom of choice? Are we just puppets in God's hands? In this book you will find answers to these and other questions, as well as be able to reflect on the incomprehensible scale of God's omniscience and intelligence.

You are a theologian.
Author: Robert Charles SproulCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsMany people react negatively to the word theology, believing that it is about dry and fruitless disputes over minor doctrinal issues. They say that it is better to focus on the basic truths of the Holy Scriptures. Sometimes you can even hear that the creeds are unnecessary - it is enough to have Christ.
But, as Dr. Sproul argues, each of us is a theologian. Every time we think about and try to understand biblical doctrine, we are practicing theology. Therefore, it is essential to systematize the doctrines of Scripture, using proper, time-tested methods of interpretation, in order to make theology consistent and true.
In You Are a Theologian: An Introduction to Systematic Theology, Dr. Sproul does just that. Far from being a dry discussion of minor doctrinal issues, Sproul once again demonstrates his ability to skillfully explain complex issues by examining the basic truths of the Christian faith, reminding us of who God is and what He has done for people in this world and the world to come.

Surprised by suffering
Author: Robert Charles SproulCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsOften, suffering seems to come upon us suddenly. One day we feel healthy, happy, and secure. The next day we are sick or injured, exhausted, and confused. The pain that invades our lives may stem from our own suffering or the suffering of someone close to us. But wherever it comes from, we do not notice it coming, and our confusion leads us to suspect God of wrongdoing.
In this classic book, republished in a revised and expanded edition, Dr. R. C. Sproul argues that suffering should not surprise us, but rather that we should be prepared for pain and sorrow in this life. Some do indeed have a “calling” to suffer, and we are all called to experience the ultimate suffering—death. The Lord promises in His Word that we will have hard times, but He also promises that He allows these sufferings for our good and His glory, and that He never gives us more than we can bear with His help.
Dr. Sproul offers sound biblical counsel and comfort for those who suffer and those who minister to the suffering, counsel that helps believers endure in times of trial with faith in a God who is loving and good.
Dr. R. C. Sproul was the founder of Ligonier Ministries, the first preacher and pastor of St. Andrew's Chapel in Sanford, Florida, and the first president of Reformed Bible College. He is the author of over one hundred books, including The Holiness of God.

Consequences of ideas
Author: Robert Charles SproulCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsIf you think philosophy is irrelevant to your daily life, think again. You only have to look around the world to see how profoundly the ideas of historical thinkers still influence us today.
From ancient Greek thinkers like Plato and Aristotle, to Christian philosophers like Augustine and Thomas Aquinas, to modern thinkers like Kant and Nietzsche, Sproul traces the contours of Western philosophy throughout history and demonstrates the enormous impact these ideas have had on world events, theology, art, and culture – as well as on our daily lives.
By helping readers better understand how many of these ideas have shaped their own thinking, this book will inspire Christians to influence the world in a Christian way.

Author: Louis PrioloCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetails"So many books - so little Scripture."
No doubt, on your bookshelves there are many books, textbooks, notes, seminars, magazine articles, video and audio cassettes, the purpose of which is to reveal the Christian perspective on raising children. However, with rare exceptions, most modern resources on Christian education do not emphasize what is perhaps the most important thing - how to practically apply the Bible in the process of raising children. Think about it.
Despite all your education, do you really know how to use the Bible to teach, reprove, correct and instruct your children in righteousness? If yes, then perhaps you can not read further. If not, I pray that this little book will strengthen and complement your parenting skills and teach you to use the Scriptures more carefully and effectively in raising your children.Read moreWords of appreciation

Reformed pastor
Author: Richard BaxterCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsRichard Baxter, who was called "the greatest of the Puritans", wrote this book for all involved in pastoral ministry. This is an outstanding work, and it should be read by every novice minister who is preparing to work with the people under his care, and the sections devoted to the practice of ministry should be refreshed in memory at least once every three or four years. Speaking of a "reformed pastor," Baxter does not mean a pastor who advocates Calvinism, but one whose service to his people as a preacher, teacher, teacher of catechism, and role model shows that he is regenerated and transformed.

In essence, the gospel call is a call to believe, and true faith is manifested in voluntary and complete submission to the lordship of Christ.
The book Jesus Only examines the gospel preaching of Christ Himself with the aim of understanding the essence of truly following Him. He is the only One who has the words of eternal life. This book will help anyone who sincerely seeks to have a closer relationship with Christ, to understand more clearly the essence of the Christian life in following Him, and to understand the most important questions of life.Read morePreface
