In this expanded edition of Understanding the Scriptures, R. S. Sproul helps us discover the meaning of Scripture for ourselves. The author says, “The subject of this book is not how to read the Bible, but how to study the Bible.” With his characteristic common sense and enthusiasm, Sproul offers eleven basic steps for interpreting the Bible, along with simple advice on how to use them. The author also provides advice on choosing and using Bible translations, commentaries, and other aids.

R. C. Sproul explains complex issues in simple language, so this book will be useful for both beginners and experienced Bible students.
