Marriage, divorce and remarriage in the Bible
Author: Jay AdamsCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsMany complex problems are associated with divorce and remarriage, over which evangelical believers around the world are struggling to solve. Others sincerely strive to follow the Bible, but are embarrassed by difficulties of an exegetical nature. Some simply follow established opinions, even if they contradict the Scriptures.
Jay Adams argues that we need to gain a clear understanding of such biblical concepts as marriage, divorce, and remarriage. We need to know when divorce is wrong and when it is not; What is the meaning of forgiveness and when is a repeat marriage permissible?

Protection for Zoe
Author: David PaulisonCategoryDescriptionAuthorDetails“Protection for Zoe” is a beautifully illustrated book that teaches children to remember that God is always with us. Zoe, a timid mouse, is worried about a field trip she and her class are going on. After talking to her parents, Zoe begins to understand that she can turn to God for help. Her dad gives Zoe a verse from the “Big Book” that she can read when she feels scared. Eventually, she learns that she can tell God about her fears, and He will always calm and comfort her.
The book comes with a tear-off page with memorable Bible verses to help children remember God's words when they feel scared or anxious.

Surprised by suffering
Author: Robert Charles SproulCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsOften, suffering seems to come upon us suddenly. One day we feel healthy, happy, and secure. The next day we are sick or injured, exhausted, and confused. The pain that invades our lives may stem from our own suffering or the suffering of someone close to us. But wherever it comes from, we do not notice it coming, and our confusion leads us to suspect God of wrongdoing.
In this classic book, republished in a revised and expanded edition, Dr. R. C. Sproul argues that suffering should not surprise us, but rather that we should be prepared for pain and sorrow in this life. Some do indeed have a “calling” to suffer, and we are all called to experience the ultimate suffering—death. The Lord promises in His Word that we will have hard times, but He also promises that He allows these sufferings for our good and His glory, and that He never gives us more than we can bear with His help.
Dr. Sproul offers sound biblical counsel and comfort for those who suffer and those who minister to the suffering, counsel that helps believers endure in times of trial with faith in a God who is loving and good.
Dr. R. C. Sproul was the founder of Ligonier Ministries, the first preacher and pastor of St. Andrew's Chapel in Sanford, Florida, and the first president of Reformed Bible College. He is the author of over one hundred books, including The Holiness of God.

Instruments of Grace in the Hands of the Redeemer
Author: Paul TrippCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsEach of us has faced a situation at least once when we did not know how to react, what to do, or what to say. Perhaps we have considered turning to a professional to solve all our problems. But God has called each of us to sanctification and service. In his work, “Instruments of Grace in the Hands of the Redeemer,” Paul Tripp writes about how to draw wisdom from the Bible and share it with others.
This book is a practical guide to change that speaks truthfully and openly about human sins that we so skillfully mask under a mass of righteousness.
Paul Tripp says this about his work: “This book is about the most joyful news that a person can receive. This news has nothing to do with fantasies and dreams, but is based on objective reality and historical facts… This book is about how imperfect but striving people are helped to grow in Christ by imperfect but striving people.”

When people are big and God is small
Author: Edward T. WelchCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsIn the modern world, rather strict standards are promoted of what a person should be like inside and out, how he should behave, how to speak, what to do, what to believe in. These requirements are not openly proclaimed, but they are the background of the life of a modern person. We feel how they influence us, guide our decisions and behavior, weigh on us, holding us captive to human thought and depriving us of the freedom in which God has dedicated us to live.
The book "When Men Are Big and God Is Small" examines one of the most pressing and eternal issues - the fear of people. Edward Welch seeks to show that behind the question "What will people think of me?" - there are deeper feelings. The author opens the curtain before us and shows how, in the course of history, society has changed its reference point from God to itself.
Reading this book will help us see how God views man and how we should view people, and will inspire us to take practical steps on the path to God's victory.

Leadership
Author: Paul TrippCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe Church is in a Leadership Crisis. What can we do to keep pastors from leaving their ministry?
While every famous pastor who leaves his ministry is in the spotlight, there are countless lesser-known pastors whose departures remain in the shadows. Pastor and bestselling author Paul David Tripp argues that behind every pastoral failure lies the lack of a strong leadership community. Tripp draws on his decades of ministry experience to offer churches twelve gospel principles they need to overcome this leadership crisis. Each of these principles, based on qualities such as humility, trustworthiness, and accountability, will allow both new and experienced leaders to focus on the gospel as the perfect model for leadership.

Introduction. Crisis
1. Achievements
PRINCIPLE 1: A ministry community that spends most of its time on the business side of church life is usually spiritually unhealthy.
2. Gospel
PRINCIPLE 2: To become instruments of God’s grace, your leaders must be committed to nurturing it in each other’s lives.
3. Limitations
PRINCIPLE 3: Proper leadership of a ministry community requires recognizing God-given limits on gifts, time, strength, and maturity.
4. Harmony
PRINCIPLE 4: An important component of your leaders’ success is the ability to recognize and harmoniously combine diverse callings in their lives.
5. Character
PRINCIPLE 5: A spiritually healthy leadership community recognizes that personal moral qualities are more important than organizational structure or strategy.
6. War
PRINCIPLE 6: It is important to understand that leading any evangelistic ministry is primarily a spiritual struggle.
7. Servants
PRINCIPLE 7: The call to leadership in the church is a call to a life of sacrifice and service.
8. Openness
PRINCIPLE 8: A spiritually healthy leadership community is characterized by humble openness and courageous sincerity, inspired by love.
9. Identity
PRINCIPLE 9: How your leaders lead the church is always determined by their own sense of identity.
10. Recovery
PRINCIPLE 10: If a leadership community is formed according to gospel principles, its inherent characteristic will be a willingness to correct mistakes and start over.
11. Sustainability
PRINCIPLE 11: The sustainability of church leaders’ ministry is always a consequence of their belonging to the gospel community.
12. Presence
PRINCIPLE 12: The inevitable weaknesses, failures, and sins of your leaders can only be dealt with if they are viewed through the lens of the presence, power, promises, and grace of Christ.

Leadership
Author: Paul TrippCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsOn every page, Tripp urges us to return to the unblemished biblical view of leadership in the church, which is exactly what we need in the midst of the battle that rages around us - the battle for our joy, for our endurance, for our lives, for our families and for the people we serve - so that in the end all the glory goes to God and not to us.

Author: Heath LambertCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsPornography surrounds us everywhere. It destroys marriages and instills in its consumers a perverted idea of sexuality. Unfortunately, many Christians not only have a hard time resisting the temptation of pornography - they become addicted to it and fall into the trap of its power.
In this book, experienced counselor and teacher Heath Lambert identifies eight strategies, each based on the works of Christ, to give people trapped by pornography fuel and a road map for change. Each chapter is supported by grace and clearly explains how to put the Gospel into practice.

The Immutable Spirit of the Gospel
Author: Jerram BarrsCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsAll Christians are called to love God with all their heart and soul. Called to serve Him. Called to go to the lost and serve them. However, if we are honest with ourselves, we admit that it is difficult for us to respond to this last call. We willingly support the evangelistic services of other people, but most of us are very negative about our attempts to witness to unbelievers, because learned phrases and schemes, apparently, do not work. You can learn to witness to your neighbors, and evangelism will cease to be a difficult and uncomfortable task for you.

Overview of the history and methods of interpretation of the Bible
Author: Ronald CookCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsAs far as we know, not much has been written about the history of Bible interpretation. Probably, the only work written on this topic is the work of Frederick V. Farrar (Frederic W. Farrar) "History of Interpretation" (History of Interpretation). However, Farrar's work is of little use to the modern reader, as it is full of lengthy quotations in Latin, and Latin is not as widely used today as it used to be. Even for students of theological schools, this work is not easy to read, since it also contains many excerpts from texts in Greek, German, French, and Hebrew, and in order to understand them, serious professional training is required. Farrar gives an overview of exegesis from the days of Ezra to the beginning of the twentieth century.

The writings of John Newton
Author: John NewtonCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetails"Newton's letters, in which he addresses a wide variety of pastoral issues, are pure gold. Newton was able to apply great theological doctrines of faith to the circumstances of the lives of friends, parishioners, and even strangers who wrote to him with a request to give advice. In his letters, he is often harsh, but love always sounds in them.
Newton's writings influenced both my pastoral work and my preaching. Newton not only called people to a holy life, but also analyzed their motivations in detail and showed what prevents them from obeying God. For more than a decade, I have been constantly reading and re-reading these writings, and they have taught me to better understand the hidden motives of human actions, so that, preaching and applying the high doctrines of grace, not only appeal to the will, but also achieve a change of heart" - Timothy Keller

The Way to the Cross
Author: Paul TrippCategoryDescriptionAuthorDetailsHow is it possible to think about the voluntary suffering that Christ went to because of our sin, and at the same time not grieve over the sin that remains in us? How is it possible to think about what death threatened us, and about our spiritual poverty, and at the same time not rejoice in the grace of the Cross? These spiritual readings are devoted to both celebration and introspection. We will follow Jesus together on His way to the Cross. The terrible sacrifice made by Jesus in front of many people should awaken in us not only joy, but also sorrow. The cross makes us understand who we really are (sinners) and what we need (salvation and forgiving grace).
Let your sorrow increase during these forty days, which we will spend together, so that the joy becomes deeper. Let there be more bitter sighs - so that there will be more prayers. Let sadness fuel your jubilation. And let all this lead to blessings too significant and too obvious to miss.

The sad news is that you and I are living at a time when the restoration process is in full swing. The good news is that the divine Builder will not back down until everything in His house is completely restored and renewed. The day will come when you will forever settle and live in a house that will be completely restored. But now you are called to live prosperously in peace and joy in this place, which, however sad, is damaged by sin. Suffering is never in vain
Author: Elizabeth ElliotCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe Christian way of life of the author, Elizabeth Elliot inspires. He is free from all sentiments, direct and decisive. She showed us that we are on the battlefield, where the most powerful forces of the universe have come together in a fierce battle. And we, fortunately, accept this challenge, charged with the energy of the sublime vision of the church, which was characteristic of this extraordinary woman. Her life, her books are food and drink for those whose life is placed by God on the altar of sorrows.
For centuries we hear that "the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church", and the blood of Jim Elliot, no doubt, was overflowing the inkpots in which Elizabeth dipped her pen. She gave us the encouraging martyr's words that inspired more than one generation of brave missionaries to carry the Gospel into the unknown depths of jungles, deserts and cities, large and small. She gives us the same words. Especially when suffering falls on us with unstoppable force.Read moreForeword

Read moreВступ
