Author: Joseph HallCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe "Covenant of Christ" publishing house together with the "Come and Help" mission (Canada - USA) brings to your attention the second volume of the outstanding work of the famous Puritan (XVI) Bishop of Norwich Joseph Hall (1574-1656). Events and people of ancient times come to life on the pages of this book.
To read Joseph Hall means to reflect on passages from the Bible together with an outstanding pastor, to empathize, grieve and rejoice together with him. The book "Reflections" is unexpectedly contemporary, but there is nothing surprising in this, because eternal biblical truths are not subject to the influence of time.Read moreVolume 2

In the Lord I hope.
CategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsSince the beginning of the war, the attention of many believers has been riveted to the book of Psalms. And this is no coincidence. It is this book of the Bible, unlike other biblical books, that is not only saturated with practical truths about God but also sounds in unison with the feelings that fill the hearts of Ukrainians in times of war.
This book is a collection of expository sermons on the book of Psalms delivered during a conference held at Grace Bible Seminary on May 17, 2022. The theme of this conference, “In the Lord I Hope,” was unanimously agreed upon when the organizers approached a discussion of the historical circumstances in the life of King David, when writing the 11th Psalm.
Although we do not have sufficient evidence to describe David’s circumstances accurately and comprehensively, this uncertainty does not pose any biblical problems for understanding the text itself. On the contrary, it opens up the possibility of a broader consideration and application of the circumstances of the writing of Psalm 11, which begins with the fundamental statement: “In the Lord I hope!” (Ps. 11:1).Read moreMaksym Oliynyk

Faith
Author: Charles ColsonCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe book takes the reader to the roots of the Christian faith in order to answer the questions posed in the title: what do Christians believe, why do they believe it, and why does it really matter?
The book presents a global picture of how, over two millennia of human history, the Orthodox Christian faith has been the greatest driving force in the formation of Western civilization. The flourishing of the faith has brought the countries of the Old and New Worlds a dominant role on the planet, and its neglect today leads to the terrible consequences of cultural collapse, the clash of civilizations, and other problems.
The author touches on the main dogmas (assertions) shared by Christians of all denominations, and tries to prove, using many testimonies and real-life examples – from ancient history to the present day – why believers should hold fast to Orthodox Christianity – the faith handed down once and for all by the saints.Read morePreface

Vow

In six days, he created the stars in the sky, the mighty oceans, the tall trees, the beautiful flowers, the mighty sea creatures, and the most precious of all creations—Adam and Eve. God promised that Someone would come who would crush the head of the lying serpent, someone who would free mankind from sin and restore the relationship of man and woman with God. But who has the power to do this? Is it Abraham, the great man of faith? Is it Moses, the great prophet? What about Joshua, the great leader?

The freedom and power of forgiveness
Author: John MacArthurCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsIn the midst of war and peace, there is no more fundamental and important truth for all of Christianity and for your personal spiritual life than the truth about forgiveness. However, in an era when it has become fashionable to try to “forgive yourself” rather than forgive others, can our modern approaches to understanding forgiveness, guilt, punishment, mercy, and justice be consistent with the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ?
Pastor John MacArthur thoroughly explains God's Word to answer the most painful questions you consciously or unconsciously ask yourself as you try to form a biblical perspective on the possibility, power, necessity, and freedom of forgiveness. After all, forgiveness itself is crucial to your soul, not only in the context of your relationship with God, but also in your relationships with other people.

Don't extinguish your dream.
Author: Erwin W. LucerCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsReflecting on the biblical story of Joseph's life, his own dreams, and God's dream for him, the author shows step by step how one man's devotion to God under all circumstances led not only to the realization of these dreams, but also to the formation of an entire nation, and ultimately, through this nation, to the salvation of all humanity.
The book offers great comfort to all who feel that their dreams have been shattered by life's circumstances or the wrong actions of others. It teaches convincingly that no dream that God has given us can ever be completely destroyed, and the very fact that you and I are still alive is proof that God has at least one dream left for us.

Cornelius Van Til (1895-1987) was a Dutch-American scholar. He was born in Holland, (now the Kingdom of the Netherlands), but emigrated with his parents to the United States as a child. As a professor of apologetics, he argued that Christian faith was the only basis for rational thought, and that all human reasoning depended on adherence to God's revelation in Scripture. Cornelius Van Til emphasized that non-Christian worldviews were inherently false because they rejected the authority of the Bible. He sought to show that a Christian worldview was a necessary prerequisite for knowledge and logic, challenging the idea that human reason could be neutral or autonomous. His works had a great influence on Reformed theology and apologetics.

Alien fire
Author: John MacArthurCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsIn Strange Fire, bestselling author and pastor John MacArthur describes the complex history behind the modern charismatic movement. What would God say about those who blatantly distort the vision of the Holy Spirit, exchange genuine worship for chaotic bouts of mindless ecstasy, replace the biblical gospel with vain illusions of health and wealth, claim to prophesy in His name, and sell false hope to desperate people for millions of dollars? The author exposes heretical trends within the modern charismatic movement, advocating for rejecting false prophets, showing genuine reverence for the Holy Spirit, and upholding the content of the Bible as the inerrant, authoritative Word of God and the only true standard by which all claims of truth should be tested.

Hitler's Cross
Author: Erwin W. LucerCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsHow did Hitler manage to gain millions of supporters among different segments of the population on his way to power? Where was the church in Germany during those crucial times for the nation, and why did Christians not oppose the Nazi regime, but rather silently acquiesce to what was happening around them?
The book tells about the church of the Third Reich and the conclusions that we should draw from its experience here and now, in particular about
– the price of substituting the highest mission of the church for the interests of the state;
– the danger for Christians of ceasing to be “salt” and “light” in society;
– the role of God in the tragedies of individuals and nations. The author's careful look at the spiritual component of events almost a century ago provides answers to many difficult questions of today. It also allows for a deeper understanding of the mission of the Church in the modern world and the responsibility that the Lord places on it for its fulfillment.

Church history in plain language
Author: Bruce ShelleyCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsBruce Shelley's classic one-volume history of the church is an easy-to-read guide to the global history of Christianity. The author takes his readers from the early centuries of the church to the modern era: he tells the story of real people, acting in concrete situations and events,
and reveals the circumstances and historical context of major periods or themes in Christian history.
The characters, the settings, and the plot make this history of the church a compelling and captivating tale. It is also intellectually compelling: here you will find an overview of the most important debates and periods of the Church up to the movements of the 21st century, the history of the spread of Christianity on all continents,
and the stories of women and non-Europeans who had a significant impact on the development of Christianity but who have been little discussed in previous church history reviews. All of this makes Shelley's History of the Church a wonderful guide to church history for any Christian!Read moreList of faith profiles

Misleading diagnosis
Author: David TylerCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe destructive influence of secular thinking on the modern church is very much felt in the area of understanding human behavior, motivation, relationships, and sanctification. This book is extremely relevant for the restoration of biblical anthropology and the understanding of sin as an important component of the Gospel. It returns us to the categories and terms of God's Word, which is effective and sufficient for diagnosing and solving the problems of the human soul. The authors convincingly combine biblical argumentation with popular scientific presentation. The book is recommended to all pastors and caring Christians to understand the issues of so-called mental illnesses, disorders, chemical imbalances, etc.

Leadership
Author: Paul TrippCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe Church is in a Leadership Crisis. What can we do to keep pastors from leaving their ministry?
While every famous pastor who leaves his ministry is in the spotlight, there are countless lesser-known pastors whose departures remain in the shadows. Pastor and bestselling author Paul David Tripp argues that behind every pastoral failure lies the lack of a strong leadership community. Tripp draws on his decades of ministry experience to offer churches twelve gospel principles they need to overcome this leadership crisis. Each of these principles, based on qualities such as humility, trustworthiness, and accountability, will allow both new and experienced leaders to focus on the gospel as the perfect model for leadership.

Introduction. Crisis
1. Achievements
PRINCIPLE 1: A ministry community that spends most of its time on the business side of church life is usually spiritually unhealthy.
2. Gospel
PRINCIPLE 2: To become instruments of God’s grace, your leaders must be committed to nurturing it in each other’s lives.
3. Limitations
PRINCIPLE 3: Proper leadership of a ministry community requires recognizing God-given limits on gifts, time, strength, and maturity.
4. Harmony
PRINCIPLE 4: An important component of your leaders’ success is the ability to recognize and harmoniously combine diverse callings in their lives.
5. Character
PRINCIPLE 5: A spiritually healthy leadership community recognizes that personal moral qualities are more important than organizational structure or strategy.
6. War
PRINCIPLE 6: It is important to understand that leading any evangelistic ministry is primarily a spiritual struggle.
7. Servants
PRINCIPLE 7: The call to leadership in the church is a call to a life of sacrifice and service.
8. Openness
PRINCIPLE 8: A spiritually healthy leadership community is characterized by humble openness and courageous sincerity, inspired by love.
9. Identity
PRINCIPLE 9: How your leaders lead the church is always determined by their own sense of identity.
10. Recovery
PRINCIPLE 10: If a leadership community is formed according to gospel principles, its inherent characteristic will be a willingness to correct mistakes and start over.
11. Sustainability
PRINCIPLE 11: The sustainability of church leaders’ ministry is always a consequence of their belonging to the gospel community.
12. Presence
PRINCIPLE 12: The inevitable weaknesses, failures, and sins of your leaders can only be dealt with if they are viewed through the lens of the presence, power, promises, and grace of Christ.

Basics of Biblical Hebrew Textbook
Author: Gary D. Pratyko, Miles Van PeltCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe main advantages of the textbook: clarity, accessibility, organization. The textbook is a standard manual for colleges and seminaries. Since its first publication in 2001, it has helped more than 80,000 students learn biblical Hebrew.
The third edition of this textbook is a significant update and revision of previous editions with the goal of providing students with the best possible tools for studying biblical Hebrew.
The effectiveness of the textbook "Fundamentals of Biblical Hebrew" lies in the fact that it:
– the inductive and deductive approach is combined
- real examples from the texts of the Old Testament are used, not "invented" illustrations
- the emphasis is on the distinguishing features of the structure of the ancient Hebrew language, and not on the mechanical learning of a set of paradigms
– different colors are used to highlight the key features of nouns and verbs, which makes it easy to recognize new forms
- contains applications with verb paradigms highlighted in a second color with diagnostic signs for quick search
– a complete dictionary of words used in the textbook is included
- an enlarged font and text size are used to facilitate workRead moreAcknowledgements

Impossible Christianity
Author: Kevin DeYoungCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe Christian life is both harder and easier than we think. It is harder because dying to self, fighting the devil, and hating sin do not come naturally to us. But it is also easier because God does not require us to have many degrees, to work thirty hours a day, and to have unsurpassed organizational skills in order to be disciples of Jesus... All the Lord asks is to listen to Him and rely on Him in everything. Undoubtedly, this is a narrow and difficult path, and that is why few dare to walk on it. But true disciples willingly walk this path because they know that it is good and leads to life.

Freedom from thoughts about yourself
Author: Timothy KellerCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsWhat distinguishes a supernaturally changed heart? First of all, when it comes not to superficial external restoration, but to deep internal changes that affect all areas of life. In our time, pleasing people, indulging selfishness, pursuing more, and forming an attractive picture of life are considered effective methods of achieving success. However, God calls us to find true peace in the freedom He has given us from thoughts of self and our “self.”
In this insightful little book, bestselling author Timothy Keller reveals the true nature of evangelical humility. It is that we can stop worrying about what others think of us. We can stop defining our worth by comparing ourselves to others. We can stop finding our significance through achievement and success. We can stop judging ourselves for our failures and exalting ourselves for our achievements. True evangelical humility is not thinking better or worse about ourselves—it is having the freedom to think less of ourselves.
This freedom is available to you too.
