The good news of the Bible
Author: Marty MachowskiCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThere is a danger that biblical stories will be so simplified that their connection with the Gospel and God's great plan of salvation will be lost. In the book "The Good News of the Bible" the theological details are preserved, since each story ends with a small commentary designed to merge the events of history with God's great plan of redemption. The events of the Old Testament point to Jesus. New Testament texts tell us about the cross of Christ. The goal of the book is to string each of the 156 stories like beads on the silk thread of the Gospel.
"The Good News of the Bible" will tell Bible stories in such a way as to attract the attention of your child and instill in him a love for God's Word.

The disappearance of the power of death
Author: Erwin W. LucerCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe early Christians mockingly called death a tyrant who had been overthrown by Christ. Can modern believers overcome the greatest human fear and maintain the same confidence in the face of death and meet it with courage, peace, and triumph? The author of this book answers in the affirmative. For the death of Jesus was not the end, but the beginning of a new relationship between God and man. Following the example of our Teacher, Who died in faith and rose again, we can be sure that the same awaits us. Through Christ, the power of death has disappeared forever.

Heroes of the Reformation
Author: Diana Klein, Joel Robert BeekeyCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe reformation did not happen instantly. God patiently performed it for many years. As you read this book, you will learn how God used different people to sow the seeds of the Reformation long before October 31, 1517, when Martin Luther proclaimed his ninety-five theses.
This book contains information about him and about forty other participants of the Reformation (including John Knox, Pyotr Martyr Vermyly, Zachary Ursyn, Willem Tillink and others). Most of them are heroes of the Reformation.
In order to show a broad picture of this multifaceted period of church history, the book also includes chapters on Anabaptists and the Counter-Reformation. At the end of the book, a brief description of the influence of the Reformation on different spheres of life is given.Read moreIntroduction

Heroes of the Reformation
Author: Diana Klein, Joel Robert BeekeyCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsThe Reformation was not an overnight event: God patiently worked it out year after year. As you read this book, you will learn how the Lord used different people to sow the seeds of reformation in the Church long before October 31, 1517, when Martin Luther proclaimed his Ninety-Five Theses.
We hope you will find it interesting and useful to read about Martin Luther and about forty other participants in the Reformation (among them John Knox, Pietro Martire Vermilion, Theodore Beza, Willem Tellink, and others) - some more famous, some less so, most of them heroes of the faith.
To paint a broader picture of the multifaceted Reformation, chapters on the Anabaptists and the Counter-Reformation are also included. Finally, a brief description of the impact of the Reformation on various areas of life is provided.Read morePreface

Martin Luther
Author: Simonetta CarrCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsFive hundred years ago, a monk named Martin Luther wrote his 95 Theses, hoping to spark a theological debate on sin and repentance at the University of Wittenberg in Germany. In this children's book, Simonetta Carr tells the fascinating story of the founder of the European Reformation, his search for peace with God, his heroic defense of God's truth, his family life, and his many accomplishments. Martin Luther's greatest achievement, the author says, "was his uncompromising emphasis on the promise of the gospel that has been given to us so freely."

Why do frogs croak merrily?
Author: Angela the Wonder WomanCategoryDescriptionAuthorDetailsEvery person – whether an adult or a child – needs attention, acceptance, friendship and love. They need it, but often do not receive it, because in human relationships, distorted by sin, pride and selfishness, arrogance and cruelty prevail. Unfortunately, children encounter this at an early age. Therefore, it is extremely important that they also meet a true Friend as early as possible, Who created them, unconditionally loves them and is always ready to listen and accept. Then they will not only avoid experiences of rejection and loneliness, but also learn to be friends and help others.
Angela Chudevets's little book "Why Are Frogs Croaking Happily?" will help bring the Gospel to the youngest: point out the presence of sin in the world, explain our need for a Savior, and assure them of God's love, forgiveness, and acceptance.Read more

A friend who forgives
Author: Catalina Echeverri , Dan DevittCategoryDescriptionAuthorDetailsHOW DO WE KNOW ABOUT ANOTHER WHO FORGIVES?
The four Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - tell us about the wonderful friendship between Peter and Jesus. Later, Jesus was imprisoned, and Peter pretended not to know Him three times (Luke 22:60–62). Then Jesus was crucified on the cross, and it seemed that everything had come to an end. But Jesus did not remain dead (Luke 24:6)!
The last chapter of the Gospel of John tells about how Jesus found Peter to forgive him (John 21:1–19). Jesus asked Peter three times: "Do you love Me?" And Peter answered Him three times: "Yes, Lord, You know that I love You."
So Peter became a catcher of people, who himself found forgiveness. From that time, Peter told other people about Jesus and how they can also be forgiven - not once or twice, but many times (Acts 2:38; 10:43). And then Peter even wrote some of the books of the Bible for us, so that we too could hear his story about the One who forgives (1 Peter 1:16–21; 3:18).Read more

A Friend Who Forgives
Author: Catalina Echeverri , Dan DevittCategoryDescriptionAuthorDetailsWHERE CAN I FIND OUT ABOUT A FRIEND WHO IS SAYING GOODBYE?
The four Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—all tell of Peter’s wonderful friendship with Jesus. Yet, when Jesus was arrested, Peter three times denied even knowing him. (Luke 22:54–62) Then Jesus was killed on the cross, and it seemed that all was over. But Jesus was resurrected! (Luke 24:6)!
The last chapter of John’s Gospel tells us that Jesus found Peter to forgive him (John 21:1–19). Jesus asked three times, “Do you love me?” Peter answered three times, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”
Thus Peter became a fisher of men who was forgiven. From then on, Peter told others about Jesus and how they too could be forgiven—over and over and over again. (Acts 2:38; 10:43) Peter even wrote down a portion of the Bible for us to hear him tell about the Friend who forgives. (1 Peter 1:18–21; 3:18)Read more

God's great idea
Author: Catalina Echeverri , Trillia NewbellCategoryDescriptionAuthorDetailsThe story from this book begins where everything begins - in chapter 1 of Genesis. In the beginning, "... God created man in his own image... male and female he created him..." (Genesis 1:27). "And God blessed them..." (verse 28). Partly blessed life consists in being happy, living in this world, loving God and other people. Every man and every woman who ever came into the world was created in the image of God.
Every tribe, every language and every people have the privilege of being part of this magnificent diversity. All of us, bearers of God's image, have equal dignity and worth, but at the same time we are equally corrupted by sin (Romans 3:23). That is why it is so wonderful that the Lord Jesus came to save people from all tribes, languages and nations. The day will come when the words will be fulfilled that "...a great multitude of people, whom no one could number, from all tribes, and tribes, and peoples, and languages, stood before the throne...", glory to God (Revelation 7:9–10).
Our relationship to each other should be based on the understanding that God created each of us equally valuable, worthy and beautiful. If we know that we are created in the image of God and that He loves us so much that He is ready to forgive, then with the help of God's Spirit we can truly love each other.Read more

God's wonderful idea
Author: Catalina Echeverri , Trillia NewbellCategoryDescriptionAuthorDetailsThe story this book tells begins where everything begins—in the first chapter of Genesis. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27). “And God blessed them” (Genesis 1:28). Living a blessed life means rejoicing in loving God and one another in this world.
Every man and woman who has ever walked the earth was created in the image of God. Every tribe, language, and nation, though different, has the privilege of being part of His wonderful plan. As bearers of God’s image, we are all equal in our dignity and worth, yet we have all sinned equally (Romans 3:23). That is why we are so glad that Jesus came to save people from every tribe, language, and nation. One day, “a great crowd, which no one could number, out of all peoples, tribes, peoples, and tongues,” will stand praising God (Revelation 7:9–10).
Understanding that God created each of us equally worthy, valuable, and beautiful should also determine our relationship with one another. Knowing that we are made in His image and likeness, and that He loves us so much that He was willing to forgive us our sins, we are able, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to truly love one another.Read more

Amy Carmichael was born in 1867 in Ireland and died in 1951 in India, where she had served in the missionary field since the age of twenty-eight. Before India, she had already served extensively in Scotland, England, and even Japan, but the main work of her life was the salvation of children from the physical and moral destruction that threatened them from the Hindu temples. For this purpose, the Donavoor community was founded in 1901, which became a home and a place of Christian education for hundreds of young children from the Tinnevelly district in South India. Donavoor is still active today, 120 years after its founding, because from the very beginning, Amy Carmichael and her friends sought to ensure that the love of Calvary was always the basis of the community's activities.
