R. Kent Hughes was senior pastor of College Church in Wheaton, Illinois for 27 years. He received a doctorate in pastoral ministry from Trinity Evangelical School of Theology. He is the father of four children and the author of numerous books. And also the editor of the series of popular comments "Preaching the Word". His wife Barbara published the book "Exercises of a Godly Wife", and together they wrote the book "Exercises of a Godly Family".
