This book is an excellent resource for students preparing for pastoral ministry, ordained preachers, evangelists, and anyone interested in preaching. It deals in detail with issues that concern both preachers and listeners. Dr. M. Lloyd-Jones is called "the last of the preachers." He himself, of course, would have refuted this statement, but no preacher in Great Britain gathered such large audiences and did not receive such a high rating.

Мартін Ллойд-Джонс

Martin Lloyd-Jones was born in South Wales, trained at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London, and then worked as a doctor. In 1927 he married Bethan Phillips, also a doctor, and after leaving medicine he became a minister of the Presbyterian Church in Aberavon, South Wales. In 1938 he and his wife moved to London, where he was a co-curator of Westminster Chapel with Dr. George Campbell Morgan. He then began to preach to a wider audience and wrote books until his death in 1981. He and Mrs. Lloyd-Jones were married for fifty-four years.
