In the modern Christian world, Sidney Graydanus is recognized as one of the most influential authors in the field of biblical preaching. His works are distinguished by an emphasis on the preaching of Christ from the texts of the Old Testament. The famous phrase belongs to him: "...for a sermon without Christ is not a sermon." He presented his Christological method of preparing and presenting a sermon based on the Old Testament books of the Bible in several books, the latest of which is "How to Preach Christ on the Psalms" (2016). In this work, Sidney presents the theory and practice of psalm preaching.

The book is intended for both experienced and novice preachers.
