Can anyone feel the evil of the 20th century more acutely than a person of faith?
While Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were seducing a nation, intimidating an entire continent, and attempting to exterminate Europe’s Jews, a small group of dissidents and saboteurs were working to destroy the Third Reich from within. One of them was Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a pastor and author known for his spiritual classics The Cost of Discipleship and Life Together. He was executed in a concentration camp in 1945 for his role in a secret plot against Adolf Hitler.
The book “Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Conspirator – Righteous Man Against the Third Reich” is a testament to one man’s incredible faith, his struggle to free his people from the curse of Nazism. It breathes a joy that even death cannot overshadow. “Bonhoeffer” is the story of a life filled with a desire for truth and justice, the story of a man who fought on behalf of those who faced relentless evil.
