Seeing and enjoying Jesus Christ
Author: John PiperCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsWho is Jesus Christ? You have never met Him in person, and neither have any of your acquaintances. But Ego can be known. How? Jesus Christ, the divine Person described in the Bible, has unique perfect qualities and spiritual beauty that our soul perceives, and we say: "Yes, it's true." This is similar to how, seeing the sun, we know that it is bright, or tasting honey, we know that it is sweet.
Our mind with its established way of thinking experiences a shock, trying to comprehend the depth and complexity of the Personality of Jesus. With his wisdom, Jesus confused the complacent scribes, but the children understood and loved him. He calmed the storm with a word, but refused to come down from the cross.
Look at the Jesus described in the Bible. Open your eyes and fix your gaze on the portrait of Christ in the Word of God. Ask God for grace to do His will, and you will understand the truth of His Son.
John Piper wrote this book in the hope that all readers will see Jesus as He really is, and will receive an incomparable pleasure from this.Read moreA word to the reader

Truly alive
Author: John PiperCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetails"You must be born again." These words of Jesus either confuse or stupefy everyone who considers himself the master of his own life. There are not many biblical truths that better express our helplessness at being enslaved by sin. However, not everyone is in a hurry to appreciate the miracle of birth from above.
In the Bible, revival is a precious, vitally important event. Our task is to find out what God means by speaking about the birth from above, so that by His grace we can experience it ourselves and help others in this.
God is the great Performer of the miracle of revival. And He is not silent about it. So, He wants us to know what exactly He does when we are born again. Therefore, it is beneficial for us to know what He revealed to us. When Jesus said: "You must be born again", He did not give curious advice - He showed us the way to eternal life.

Evil triumphs and loses
Author: John PiperCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetails“My purpose has been to strengthen your faith in the goodness, mercy, wisdom, and power of God—and not only in the midst of trouble, but in the very sins that are woven into the fabric of those troubles.” – John Piper
God forces evil to commit suicide… God inevitably turns any, even the most egregious sins in the history of mankind, into good, contributing to the universal glory of Jesus Christ.
This book is about how God uses evil to overcome evil; how Scripture proves to us beyond a shadow of a doubt that sin and suffering were never outside the sovereign power and infinite wisdom of God, but were always part of His perfect plan and good will. It reveals God's logic in the organization of our world and the role that evil plays in it; it gives a clear picture of the God who will not fail us even in the worst of times, and allows us to see and praise Him in the midst of the greatest trials and sorrows.

Grain that bears abundant fruit
Author: John PiperCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsJesus Christ’s words about the grain that must die in order to produce a rich harvest are not a metaphor, but God’s strategy for Christian ministry and the spread of the Gospel among all nations. The self-sacrifice and suffering of missionaries are the main guarantee of the proper fulfillment of the Great Commission. The life, ministry, and death of Adoniram Judson vividly illustrate the purpose of such sacrifice.

Brothers, we are not professionals
Author: John PiperCategoryDescriptionContentAuthorDetailsWe, pastors, are being killed by the professionalization of pastoral ministry. The thinking of a professional is not the thinking of a prophet. This is not the mindset of Christ's servant. Professionalism has nothing to do with the essence of Christian ministry. The more we strive to become professionals, the more spiritual death we leave behind. After all, it is actually impossible to professionally be like children (Mt. 18:3), professionally be compassionate (Eph. 4:32), professionally thirst for God (Ps. 41:2).
Brothers, we are not professionals! We are outcasts. We are strangers and sojourners on earth (1 Pet. 2:11). Our residence is in heaven, from where we await the Lord (Phil. 3:20). Impossible professionally. will love His appearance, he did not kill this love at the same time, but they continue to kill it.
The world dictates its agenda to professionals; the plans of a spiritual person are confirmed by God. The strong wine of Jesus Christ breaks the skins of professionalism - John Piper
